Last semester, my Sales Promotion lecturer, Mr. Thian, invited the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing of Genting Resorts World Bhd, Mr. Paul Chan, to IACT (Institute of Advertising & Communication Training... for the benefit of those who don't already know) to give my class, IAA 54, a chance to come up with a marketing strategy for different market segments such as Family, PMEBs (Professionals, Managers, Executives, Businessmen), Young Adults, & Heartlanders in conjunction of the Genting's 40th Anniversary Celebration. Mr. Paul Chan is Mr. Thian's friend, btw. Anywayz, there were 4 groups in my class and my group chose PMEBs.
My group members were Imee Kamalia, Sharina Faizal, Amanda Fonseka, Priscilla Wong, Carlson Thoo, Eric Cham, and myself. We came up with a few brilliant ideas... for corporate events: The "Reborn Motivational Package" (Eric's idea), The 40th Anniversary Charity Golf Tournament (Eric's idea), The 40th Anniversary Treasure Hunt "In The Clouds" (Eric's idea), The 40th Anniversary Quiz Contest (MY idea), The Corporate Annual Dinner Package (Eric's idea), The Gala Charity Dinner (MY idea), Family Day (Priss' idea); and for individual interests, we all put our heads together and came up with the Myriad Card (handled by Amanda, designed by Carlson). The price-giving ceremony was this afternoon and we were surprised that we won!!! Each of us got a 2-day-1-night complimentary stay in a Standard Room inclusive of breakfast for two persons at The First World Hotel at Genting Highlands Resort together with 2 X Price Scale 3 (Adult) Show Tickets to watch X-Treme, Push The Limits! Live in Genting!
Okie... okie... maybe the prizes are not THAT great but I'm still very happy cuz all the efforts we put in finally paid off... Praise God!!! Woohoo!!!
