I only managed to sleep for 2 hours last night... cuz I was doing some amendments on the briefs until 3 something... and although my mentor, Eric Foo told me I could send the files to him anytime this week, I wanted to show him how hardworking I was... hahaha... ;p
Today, I reached Batey Ads at 8.30 a.m. cuz Clifford Brian Lazaroo (the Account Manager) told me to come at 8.30 a.m. before I left the office yesterday. At 8.45 a.m., Clifford, Puven (the Copywriter), Ronnie (the AV Director) and I went on our way to Kampung L.B.J. in Labu (somewhere between Nilai and Seremban). It took us slightly more than an hour to reach there. When we finally arrived there, we couldn't start the video shoot cuz it was raining so we waited until the rain stopped. Btw, the MTV is called "Hentikan" and the music video features ppl committing traffic offenses.
The purpose of the MTV is to educate the public on driving, riding and walking safe... it's a public service message by the Ministry of Transport. Batey Ads handles this account... that's why we hafta go there to make sure everything is done. We are going to Subang and another location near Putrajaya tomorrow for the rest of the scenes. Friday is the last day of the video shoot... so that means I'm not gonna be in the office for the next 2 days...
It was an exciting experience for me cuz I was sitting in the van when they were recording the stunt scenes. The Stunt & Special Effects crew drove like the characters in 2 Fast 2 Furious... hehehe... and the way they tailgated the cars ahead... the way they swerved from side to side... and the way they were speeding on the road and nearly hitting another vehicle (it was all an act, of coz)... phwoar... it was so cool!!! We were at Labu until 6 p.m. and then we adjourned to Putrajaya to shoot the final scene of the day. We were supposed to wrap up by 5.30 p.m. but due to the delay in the morning schedule, we wrapped up at almost 8 p.m.
When we arrived back at Batey Ads at 8 something, I went up to my desk to check my office e-mail while waiting for baby to pick me up. Puven and I were the only ones left in the agency, btw... So after sending an e-mail to Eric Foo, I went downstairs to the Chill-Out Room (which really looks like a cross between a bar and a hotel lounge) and watched One Tree Hill on Astro there... kekeke...
I learnt about offline editing and online editing today. Offline editing is selecting the best scenes and joining them together... so basically, it's just the 1st stage of video editing. Online editing, on the other hand, is adding layers of special effects and making the scenes fade in and fade out... and all that jazz. So anywayz, I hope tomorrow is gonna be another fun day... ;D
