31st Day Of Internship At Batey Ads

Julius Lee (Account Director) cut out a newspaper article about ADEX (Advertising Expenditure) yesterday just for me... I felt so honored... hahaha... he thought the article would be useful for my internship report. What a nice boss... He ain't that bad after all... just a bit too serious sometimes. But he has loosen up a bit and he smiles at me now... that's good... =P

I wrote 3 radio scripts for TM Online today. Puven Chandran, the Copywriter, seemed satisfied with my work and I'm glad... =D At 3.30 p.m., we had our 3rd pre-production meeting for the TM Online TVC in the conference room beside the Chill-Out Room. We discussed about the location, props and wardrobe... and then we viewed the talent casting videos (the one I went to on Monday, November 21st with Senior Account Executive, Maryam Mazlan) and we shortlisted the talents for next Monday's 4th pre-production meeting with the Telekom client. Maryam's friend, Wan, attended the meeting too. He's gonna replace Maryam in early December. He's so good-looking, he could pass as a model for any men's fashion magazine... well-built... nice features... ahem... hehehe... ;P

The meeting ended at about 5.10 p.m. and then I went back to my desk to search for more info on organizational culture. At 5.30 p.m., I was ready to go meet Brandon downstairs when James Tai (FA Artist) happened to come by my desk and we chatted for a while. I told him that Jackye Tan (CEO's PA) told me about his walk with God yesterday... and then he started to share his testimony with me for about half an hour. I was amazed at his big leap of faith. He usta be the Studio Manager at Batey Ads but he felt that his calling was in the Production Ministry (at Calvary Church) so he quit his job and served in the ministry for about a year. He accepted the Lord just a few years ago, mind you... and he was a hard nut to crack... but the Lord convicted him one day and he humbly accepted the Lord as his personal Lord and Savior.

He went to a Christian event a few years ago and the preacher said, "There's no one in the universe who can forgive you of your sins... no one except for the Son of God, Jesus Christ. For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son; that whosoever believed in Him would not perish but have everlasting life." James felt a stirring in his heart but there was this guy in front of him who kept complaining that Christians were all hypocrites. So when the preacher gave an altar call, James told the Lord, "If this nasty guy in front of me goes to the front for prayer, then I'll go too!" And sure enough, the guy went forward for prayer as he was touched by the grace of God and James was in total shock! Then he realized that God had heard him after all so he went forward for prayer. His life was never the same again since that fateful day... ;D

On one occasion, he asked the Lord if his long-lost brother was still alive (his brother didn't keep in touch with him for 10 years and nobody knew where he was). The next day, his brother called him up and James was overjoyed! God does answer prayers! What a great testimony... ^_^

James was the one who brought Chew Hui Ling (Studio Manager) back to Christ. And he played a part in bringing Jackye to Christ too. Thank God for James... =D Now that he's back, he's just the FA Artist... but he believes that God has a bigger plan for him... Amen to that! =D

I mentioned in my previous post that Jackye believed that the Lord put him back in Batey for a purpose. Now I know what she meant by that... and I strongly agree too. I told James to follow-up on Rees... as he had strayed away from the Lord. Btw, Rees told me the other day that he respects me for being so faithful to the Lord... cuz I encouraged him to go back to the Lord... =P But honestly, I dun think I've been a good Christian lately... hmmm...

I'm extremely encouraged by James' testimony and I even shared with Brandon a lil' about what James told me. I hope that someday the Lord will touch Brandon just as He had touched James... =)
