Katherine Anne Porter once said, "There seems to be a kind of order in the universe... in the movement of the stars and the turning of the Earth and the changing of the seasons. But human life is almost pure chaos. Everyone takes his stance, asserts his own right and feelings, mistaking the motives of others, and his own."
Have you ever wondered what marks our time here?
If one life can really make an impact on the world?
Or if the choices we make matter?
I believe they do.
And I believe that one man can change many lives... for better or worse!
Bottomline?
Vote wisely.
"People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people." - V for Vendetta
And I'm singing...
"No more racism!
Two-facism!
No pollution!
The solution?
A revolution!"
*woot!* *woot!*

Yes!!!
And the nation has spoken with actions
:)
It was a pretty interesting weekend wasn’t it?
The unexpected magnitude of victory by the Opposition has said it all - that the Rakyat is fed-up with many goings-on in the country. The unprecedented 5 state victory by the Opposition coalition and denying the ruling Government two thirds majority at Parliament has undoubtedly sent shockwaves not just within the country. This rude wake up call could not have come sooner and serves as a reminder to the powers that be that it is the Rakyat that is the boss, and not the other way around.
As a Rakyat, I’m grateful for the right of self determination in government. As a voting Rakyat, I’m proud of our election process and how March 8 went without undue incidents. However, some observations that worry me were noted. We were really voting for a capable alternative to the ruling Government? Or were our frustrations with how things are left us with no choice but to vote the other way, regardless of the Opposition’s ability to fulfill their duties befitting their post?
What’s done is done. For better of worse, we the Rakyat have placed ourselves in the current course of direction for the country. I hope it works out. I really do. It is said that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Perhaps with more checks and balance being placed now things will get better? I really hope so.
And while I can’t tell what the future will hold, one thing is for sure – it’s gonna be one really interesting term.
