I came in this morning at 8.30 a.m. as usual. Since I had nothing much to do, I copied down the Batey's mission statements entitled "What We Believe" that's hanging on the wall in a picture frame. I didn't manage to copy everything down cuz the Creative Director walked in not long after that. Then I proudly told her that I've finished the report that she requested yesterday. She smiled at me and asked, "Wow... so fast?" She gave me 2 days to finish the report, which means that I was supposed to give it to her tomorrow but I've already finished it yesterday... muahahaha...
After that, I talked to Lee, one of the Art Directors. I asked him a lotta questions on what he does, how many years of experience he had in this industry and what a typical day in the life of an Art Director is like, so he told me everything that I needed to know and even explained about the software he uses... yada... yada...
At 10.30 a.m., I followed Clifford to a production house called Play Pictures (the same one that I went to on Monday). We were there to see the FA of the video. However, there are some minor changes that need to be made but Clifford and I didn't stay on. We left Julian and Ronnie to oversee the online editing. Oh btw, the owner of the production house is Paula Malai Ali's husband. I interviewed Paula last year for my Mass Communication assignment and this year, I met her husband... wow... ;D
By the time we came back to the office, it was already 1 something and I was given some tasks to do. Clifford and Abbas told me to write the descriptors (in Malay, mind you) for the MOT print ads on the website (print screen) which is http://www.panducermat.org.my. After I've finished this task at 4 something, I sent it to Clifford via e-mail and then I went down to the Account Management Department to see if Clifford had any comments on the descriptors. He complimented me on the work I did and I felt so happy. Then I went back to my desk in the Creative Department and I asked Puven, the only Copywriter there to gimme some work to do and he told me to come up with some names for this group of people who are gonna go around asking for ppl's IC number in shopping malls for a campaign by TM Online. So I came up with names like The TM Clan, The TM Ambassadors, The TM Envoys and all that... Puven said he would decide which name to use later on.
