I came to work today and searched for useful tips on Copywriting on the Net... and this site is the best: http://www.suite101.com/article.cfm/copywriting. I searched for it and I wrote down the tips for my own reference. Then at lunchtime, I thought of having lunch with Maryam but she and Azamin had something to talk about over lunch (personal stuff) so I told her to go ahead without me. Not long after that, Rachel came back from Clifford's dad's funeral but she had already eaten... so I didn't go out to lunch... =/
I remained in the Account Management Department for a short while because everybody else had left for lunch except for Rachel. So we chatted about her Taiwan trip last week and then she showed me some of the pics she took there. She was telling me all about her trip when Jackye Tan (the CEO's PA) walked by. She asked Rachel if she had told me about her "ghostly encounter" in Taiwan. I widened my eyes in mock fear and then Jackye laughed and said, "You're scared ar? No need to be scared la... got boyfriend mar..." I was surprised when she said that... how did she know I got a boyfriend? I hope she wasn't referring to Brandon...
I talked to Julius Lee after lunchtime today. He was very cheerful (surprisingly) and he was very nice to me when I asked him about the organizational culture, the management theory, Batey Ads' place in the economy, etc. I dun think he ever smiled at me before... he's so serious most of the time. Anywayz, I'm glad he was very open and he helped me a lot by letting me borrow some references from him. We even laughed at the fact that I was asking him all those questions today although my report is only due in January. Then I told him that I wanna finish my report before the end of December. Hehehe... hey, it's a good thing that I wanna get things done ASAP, okie...
Not long after talking to Julius, I had a meeting with Julian Yap, Lee, Wilson, Puven, Sue Ann, Abbas and Ronnie in the conference room. They presented the 4 ideas that we came up with to Abbas and Ronnie. The Cantonese versions of the 4 different concepts were hilarious... Julian Yap and Puven were the funniest... btw, Puven could only say, "Po-Po, seik fahn"... kekeke!!! Abbas and I were laughing at them nonstop... hahaha... Abbas is another funny man... he was acting so silly... he's in his 40s but he behaves like a 20-year-old sometimes. Anywayz, they are gonna present the 4 ideas (with the storyboard and everything) to the MOT ppl tmr morning.
After the meeting, Brandon came up to give me a tuna bun cuz he knew I was hungry. And then later on, he told me he was sorry that he wanted to keep our relationship a secret. I understood why he wanted that but I felt that we shouldn't be ashamed of each other or anything. Then he explained that he just didn't want ppl to talk but he admitted that because of that, he had neglected my feelings and he was sorry for that. He calls me his "little princess"... hehehe... he's so sweet...
At 5.40 p.m., I was at the Chill-Out Room, waiting for my dad to arrive when my collegemate (my junior), Vanessa Lim walked in and said hi to me. She didn't look at all surprised to see me there... and then she told me that she was waiting for her dad, Ronnie Lim, the AV Director! Gosh... I had no idea! She didn't tell me that earlier cuz she was afraid that I might start to treat her differently. I'm not close to her but I was one of the 1st few ppl she met when she came to IACT.
On the way home, I text Brandon: "By the time the clock strikes 12 tonight, it would be exactly one month since we met." He said he remembered that and that was the reason he wanted to take me out for dinner tonight but I turned him down cuz my mom was cooking dinner tonight (she hardly cooks these days). Brandon is so sweet and understanding... gosh... what's NOT to love about this guy anyway? ;P
