27th Day Of Internship At Batey Ads

An Art Director named Sue Ann formerly from Dentsu, Young & Rubicam (she was there for 9 years) reported to work today. She left Dentsu cuz she was tired of working in the same agency for so many years... therefore, she decided to work in a slightly smaller agency like Batey Ads... ;D She seems nice... at least, she's more cheerful and friendlier than Hui Ling... =P

At 10 a.m., there was a 2nd pre-production meeting at the conference room downstairs. Those attended the meeting were Ronnie Lim (AV Director), Julian Yap (Creative Director), Maryam Mazlan (Senior Account Executive), Azamin Ali (Account Director), Lee Yin Loon (Art Director), Wilson Leong (Art Director), Puven Chandran (Copywriter), Sue Ann (Art Director) and 5 ppl from the production house.

During the meeting, we talked about the storyline, the scenes, the talents (we watched the video of the talent casting and shortlisted the best ones), the props, the locations, the wardrobe and the tone and manner. The meeting ended at 12.15 p.m.

At 1.30 p.m., I followed Maryam to the talent casting. We went to Burger King's drive-thru at Hartamas and we both had Swiss mushroom burger set meal. We had our lunch on the way to Menara Telekom and we were there from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. We met some pretty interesting ppl... the talents are mostly Telekom staff and their children.

Maryam taught me a lotta things about Customer Relationship Management and PR (she's gonna leave Batey Ads in early Dec to become a PR practitioner at Mandarin Oriental Hotel). She also told me stuff about her boyfriend and even showed me his pics... and I told her about Brandon (she's the only one at Batey Ads who knows about Brandon and I). Both Brandon and I decided not to tell anyone that we're together yet cuz I'm just an intern there and ppl might say stuff that could be unpleasant thus affecting our work performance... *sighs*

Anywayz, Maryam thinks that Brandon will make a wonderful boyfriend and she is happy for me. She doesn't know Brandon that well but she thinks that he's the kinda guy who would pamper his gf and loves her whole-heartedly. She added that it's good for me to date an older guy cuz older guys are usually more mature and loyal to their gfs. I wasn't surprised when she said that cuz I know that it's true.

Although I wasn't supposed to tell anyone about my relationship with Brandon, I told Maryam cuz she's my closest friend at Batey Ads... =) Btw, I found out that she's half Thai and she's not good in Malay cuz she speaks English at home... no wonder she's so pretty... =)
