My Week Has Been...

...pretty okie, I suppose. I had a few crappy days but everything's fine now. On Wednesday (April 5th), Rogers and I had dinner with his best friend, Samantha and her bf, Han. We had Malay food in Sri Petaling and then we went to MV to watch V For Vendetta. I thought the movie would be mediocre... nothing to shout about... but how wrong I was!

Based on the graphic novel by Alan Moore, V For Vendetta takes place in an alternate vision of Britain in which a corrupt and abusive totalitarian government has risen to complete power. During a threatening run in with the secret police, an unassuming young woman named Evey (Natalie Portman) is rescued by a vigilante named V (Hugo Weaving) - a caped figure both articulate and skilled in combat. V embodies the principles of rebellion from an authoritarian state, donning a mask of vilified would-be terrorist of British history Guy Fawkes and leading a revolution sparked by assassination and destruction. Evey becomes his unlikely ally, newly aware of the cruelty of her own society and her role in it.

Then on Saturday (April 8th), I watched Ice Age 2: The Meltdown at 1-Utama with Rogers. The movie was hilarious! I love movies like this (yeah, maybe I'm a lil' too old for movies like this... so sue me... >.<). After the movie, we had dinner at Caffe 1920 at The Curve. Then we went to Rogers' godbro, Elvin's house and I met Elvin's brothers, Jason and Jeremy as well. Jason is gonna make 2 types of cheese cake for Rogers' birthday dinner and lunch next week.

Btw, we're gonna have a steamboat dinner with his friends next Sat night (April 15th). The following day, I'm gonna meet his family for the 1st time for lunch (Elvin and his family are going too). Then on Sun night (April 16th), Rogers is gonna have dinner with my family for my birthday. So April 16th is gonna be a BIG day for us cuz we would be meeting each other's parents... officially... =)

So anywayz, when we were chillin' at Elvin's house, we drank some Johnny Walker Green Label (as usual, Rogers didn't allow me to drink that much). Then Rogers took Elvin's rhythm guitar and he strummed and sang songs like Belaian Jiwa, More Than Words, When You Say Nothing At All, Deeper, History Maker, etc. Everytime I see my baby plays the guitar, my heart melts... ;D Then Elvin imitated the comedian Russell Peters really well! It was the 1st time I met him and I really enjoyed his company cuz he was cracking us up the whole time! ^_^

Sorry, Jas and Vicky for not turning up that night... I'm sure you guys enjoyed yourselves without me anyway... =P
